Actual processing operations
- Provision of the website (hosting). When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary data (in particular IP address, user agent, timestamp) for delivery and for the security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and functional operation).
- Server logs. The aforementioned access data is typically stored by the hosting provider for a limited period. The scope and retention period follow from the hosting provider’s information and will be added before go-live.
- Contact form. When the contact form is used, the entered data (name, company, email, project type, message) is processed to handle the request. The message is transmitted to
info@riegelsystems.devia the email delivery service Amazon Web Services (AWS Simple Email Service, SES). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. AWS SES is used as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
Cookies and local storage
No cookies are set and no data is stored in the browser’s local storage. The website is fully usable without cookies or device access requiring consent; a cookie consent banner is not required.
External services and third-party providers
No tracking, analytics or advertising services are integrated. For delivery of the contact form messages, AWS Simple Email Service (SES) is used as a processor. Apart from that, there is no transfer to third parties, no tracking, no analysis tools, no embedding of third-party content and no processing of payment data.
Retention period and deletion
Personal data is only stored for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes. The retention period of the server logs follows the hosting provider’s specifications and will be added before go-live.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, data subjects have in particular the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing. There is also a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Outlook
This privacy policy will be completed with legal advice before go-live. This includes in particular: the hosting provider’s (Cloudflare) details including a data processing agreement, the data processing agreement with AWS for email delivery (SES), as well as the controller’s contact details from the imprint. This page documents the current state and will not be supplemented with fictitious processing.
Note: A reference to the (former) EU online dispute resolution platform is not included, as it has been discontinued.
